The incremental contour method using asymmetric stiffness cuts

چکیده

An incremental Contour Method (iCM) of residual stress measurement is proposed where stresses in the body interest are sequentially reduced by successive contour cuts and risk re-distribution plasticity mitigated or eliminated. The cutting-induced known to cause significant inaccuracies when trying measure near-yield using a conventional single cut method. iCM procedure implements new displacement data processing approach for general case sectioning at an arbitrary plane parts do not possess mirror-symmetric elastic stiffness. basis asymmetric stiffness analysis presented accuracy method demonstrated both numerical experimental studies.
